Fashion designer Manfred Thierry Mugler has passed away at the age of 73.
A post on Facebook and Instagram reads “#RIP We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday, January 23rd 2022. May his soul Rest In Peace.”
No cause of death was released.
Mugler was born in Strasbourg, France on Dec. 21, 1948.
His career began in Paris in the early 1970s but he rose to worldwide acclaim in the 1980s and 90s for his sophisticated and shapely suits and his flamboyant fashion shows.
He worked with pop culture icons including Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, designing Kardashians 2019 Met Gala dress.
