Quantum Leap star Dean Stockwell has died at the age of 85.

The screen star, most famous for playing Admiral Al Calavicci on the sci-fi TV show opposite Scott Bakula, died at home on Sunday morning, a representative told TMZ.
He’s survived by his wife Joy Stockwell and their two children, Austin and Sophie.
In addition to starring in all 97 episodes of Quantum Leap — a role that earned him multiple Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor in 1990 — Stockwell appeared in films such as Married to the Mob, Dune, Blue Velvet and Paris, Texas.
He also earned himself even more fans when he joined the cast of Battlestar Galactica in 2006, playing John Cavil in the show until 2009.
