Netflix’s mega-successful South Korean dystopian drama series “Squid Game” is reportedly set to deliver some incredible financial returns for the service.
Netflix paid $21.4 million for the nine-episode series, and now Bloomberg is reporting that the streamer’s internal estimates indicate the series will deliver more than 40 times that – an estimated $891 million – in what they dub “impact value”.
The article goes on to say of the 132 million Netflix households who tuned into the series in its first 23 days, 89% of those viewers watched at least 75 minutes (more than one episode) and 66% of viewers finished the entire series within that 23 days.
“Squid Game” is currently available in full on Netflix worldwide.
