Bro! BRO! BROOOOOOOO! The Hawkeye Series Trailer Is Here (Featuring Lucky the Pizza Dog) - Pajiba Entertainment News

Bro, it’s finally happening. The Disney+ Clint Barton/Kate Bishop buddy comedy Hawkeye series is almost here, bro. And if you as a Marvel fan aren’t excited for this series, bro, then I’m going to tell you why you should be. (If you aren’t a Marvel fan, well, SHUSH.)

Here’s the deal, bro. The series is based on the award-winning Matt Fraction Hawkeye 2012-2015 print run. It is easily one of the best and most popular Marvel runs out there. Clint Barton (unmarried, no kids) lives in New York City and wants a quiet life. Being an Avenger, this doesn’t happen. His neighborhood is under attack by the “Tracksuit Mafia;” a bunch of Russian dudes who say “bro” all the time, bro. Clint, the friendly neighborhood archer, is surrounded by a cast of genuinely lovable characters including Kate Bishop (played by Hailee Steinfeld); Grills, a neighbor who calls Clint “Hawkguy”; Maya Lopez, aka Echo, a deaf Native American superhero (played by deaf Native American actress Alaqua Cox); and Lucky the Pizza Dog, the series’ true hero. The Tracksuit Mafia is taking over all the property in Clint’s neighborhood and wants his building as well. Clint reluctantly fights back with Lucky, Kate, and Echo by his side.

I would die for Lucky the Pizza Dog, bro.

Things are obviously a little different in the television version. Clint’s trying to keep his head down, as his Ronin persona is wanted for multiple murders. To be fair, I’d lose it too if my family turned to ash before my eyes. Kate Bishop, a talented archer and wealthy socialite whose father is mixed up in organized crime, idolizes Clint until she meets him. She uses his persona to protect her identity while she dips her toes into crimefighting. This is what’s known as a “bad idea,” bro, and hijinks ensue.

It’s safe to say that Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye is among the least popular/useful members of the Marvel Universe’s Avengers. That’s fair. He’s not given a lot to do and in the series, and Jeremy Renner’s habit of saying dumb things and doing dumb things overshadows his role. Maybe dial it back a skosh, bro. That said, Renner has an excellent talent for subdued, dry humor that shines through in his Mission: Impossible and Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters roles. It matches perfectly with the Fraction run, and if he’s written well in the Disney+ series I expect it’ll quickly become a fan favorite. Hawkeye premieres November 24 on Disney+, bro. Watch it.
