Just because Emily Blunt and John Krasinski have one of the most high-profile celebrity relationships in Hollywood, doesn't mean their children need to know about it.
As if we needed another reason to love them, Blunt recently opened up about how she responded to her daughter asking if she was famous.
In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Blunt opened up about her daughters' perception of her celeb status. She began, "if [my children] can remain oblivious for the longest time I'd be thrilled."
Blunt then explained how she responded to Hazel, one of her daughters, asking her if she's a celebrity, noting that, "it's a strange thing to navigate. [She] came home the other day and we were in the kitchen and she goes, 'Are you famous?'"
"And I'd never heard her… We've never said that word in our house. We don't talk about it," the actress continued. "Someone at school had clearly said it. I was like, 'Um…not really, I don't think I am.'"
Blunt recalled asking her daughter, "Did someone say that to you, Haze?", which her daughter confirmed but then "wouldn't divulge much more." As Emily put it, "It's weird."
According to Blunt, she doesn't want her children to know too much about her and Krasinski's fame as she doesn't want them to, "feel any more important or special or [feel like] there's a glare on them any more than other kids."
Asked if her daughters would be following in her footsteps as an actor, Blunt gave a candid response, saying, "God no — no! Please God keep them off the stage."
The celebrity pair are both extremely successful in their own right. Blunt's acting career includes playing Miranda Priestly's assistant in The Devil Wears Prada and legendary children's character, Mary Poppins, in Mary Poppins Returns.
Although Krasinski was initially best known for his portrayal of Jim Halpert in the US version of The Office, he later reinvented himself for the tough-guy lead role in Jack Ryan.
Perhaps of our favourite of the couple's filmography is A Quiet Place, in which the pair teamed up to play parents who struggle to raise their children in a post-apocalyptic world that's been taken over by blind monsters with terrifyingly good hearing. A Quiet Place II is due to be released in the UK on 4 June.
